Important Microchip Update

February 17, 2025

Dear Clients,

We would like to inform you of an important update regarding Save This Life Microchips. Unfortunately, the company has unexpectedly shut down and disconnected its database from national registries.

Key Information:

  • Only pets with Save This Life Microchips are affected.
  • The microchips themselves remain functional and safe.
  • Due to the database shutdown, pet owners must take immediate action to ensure their pet’s microchip information remains accessible. If the microchip is not re-registered, there will be no way to retrieve your contact details if your pet goes missing.

What You Need to Do: To avoid any complications should your pet become lost, please re-register your pet’s microchip number as soon as possible with one of the following services:

  1. Free Registry Service: Visit www.freepetchipregistry.com to register for free. This registry is linked to the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool, ensuring your contact information is available when scanned.
  2. PetLink: Call 1-877-PETLINK (738-5465) or visit Petlink Registration. Register your Save This Life microchip for only $9.99 using the discount code: VEDCO.
  3. HomeAgain: Call 1-888-466-3242 or visit HomeAgain. Register for $9.99 (a 50% discount) when enrolling over the phone with the Pet Owner Support team.

If you’re unsure of your pet’s microchip number or the company they are registered with, please contact our hospital to retrieve your pet’s information or to schedule a quick scan using a Universal Reader.
