Aloha Animal Hospital is pleased to offer remote healthcare services for our established clients and patients. With e-consults, you can easily schedule and hold a virtual appointment from the comfort of your home whenever your pet is sick or injured. We offer e-consults via Petriage. With Petriage, clients can triage their pet’s clinical signs for urgency, request an e-consult with an Aloha Vet (during business hours) or access an outsourced nurse hotline after hours. While telemedicine cannot replace the benefits of an in-person exam, it may serve as an adjunctive means without requiring you to bring your pet into the clinic. With an e-consultation, the doctor can assist in diagnosing and managing a variety of conditions. We will also be able to determine whether your pet needs to be seen, by whom (our team or perhaps an emergency clinic), and with what degree of urgency.

Because animals cannot verbally communicate how they are feeling, veterinarians rely heavily on physical exams and testing to accurately diagnose a patient. Therefore, when in doubt, the recommendation will always be to schedule an in-person appointment.

Please note that due to Nevada law, veterinarians are not permitted to diagnose, treat, or prescribe medication without an existing “Veterinary-Client-Patient-Relationship” (VCPR). The current standard of care to satisfy this requirement is a physical exam of the patient within one calendar year. Therefore, e-consultations are only available to active clients whose pets have received an in-person physical exam within the last twelve months.

If you are a new client or have a pet that is not up to date on their annual checkup, we can offer advice and make general recommendations but cannot officially diagnose or dispense medication.

I could go on and on about how good this team is. The latest example, we called last night to get some information about Mia's symptoms. Sam spent time to discuss what Mia was experiencing, and showed nothing but consideration for our feelings. As we were speaking, Sam took the time to look for the closest available appointment. As we spoke, she noticed a recent cancellation, and we were able to see Dr. Brittany the next day. David is also that kind and caring.
Dr. Brittany was great. She took the time to discuss our aging dogs arthritis, and the options we could take to reduce the pain she seemed to be experiencing. This team really dedicates the time that we, as loving pet owners deserve, not to mention our pets.

  I had such a wonderful experience at Aloha Animal Hospital. From the moment we walked in, the nurse and the two receptionists, Alex and Kylie, were incredibly polite, friendly, and welcoming. They were also very understanding of my German Shepherd, who can be a bit reactive, and never made us feel uncomfortable or judged.

Dr. James was truly amazing with her. I've been to other vets where staff seemed scared of my dog and made it feel like a big issue, which was stressful for both of us. That was absolutely not the case here. Dr. James and the team handled her with such care, patience, and confidence, and were so understanding throughout the entire visit. They made the whole process smooth and easy, which I am beyond grateful for.

I left feeling relieved, supported, and thankful to have found a vet who treats both pets and owners with such respect and compassion. I would recommend Aloha Animal Hospital to anyone without hesitation.

I've worked with Dr Beckes, Dr Nieves, and Dr Sullivan, they've all been wonderful! They stay informed on new advancements when it comes to exotic animal care and they understand bunnies. I really appreciate that they examine and treat bunnies on the floor when possible, bunnies do not like to be held and are prone to serious injury if they fall.   They got me in quickly at the end of the day when my tortoise got unexpectedly injured. I was so grateful for them as every other exotics hospital I called in the valley told me they couldn't take him and told me to go to VEG (yeah right...worst vet hospital ever). I dropped him off for an overnight stay where they started treatment for him and kept him in an oxygen box. The staff was very friendly and the prices were fair. tortellini is doing great now!
