Adorable Things Your Cat Will Do This Year

Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe that we’re already in the year 2019. As we exchange our old calendars for new ones, many people will be making predictions for the coming year. We’ll leave speculation about stock markets and politics to others, but we can offer some guesses on what some of our feline patients will be up to. Here, a Las Vegas, NV vet lists some things your cat will do this year.

Sleep Through Most Of It

We’re not sure why cats are so tired, but they do need lots and lots of rest. Kitties can sleep up to 20 hours a day. That means that your cute pet will spend roughly ten of 2019’s twelve months sleeping.

Steal Chairs

Cats are always on the lookout for warm, comfy napping spots. If you get up from your favorite chair, don’t be surprised to find your furry buddy curled up in it when you get back.

Jump Into Boxes

Fluffy’s obsession with boxes will never stop being adorable. It’s probably safe to say that at some point in 2019, you’ll bring home at least one box. Fluffy won’t take long to investigate it! (Tip: if you want to spoil your feline friend, make her a box castle.)

Talk Back

Just like people, cats all have their own personalities. Some kitties are timid and quiet, while others are furry little chatterboxes. However, even reserved cats speak their minds once in a while.

Soak Up Some Sun

Kitties love lounging about, and can often be found sprawled out in sunbeams. Fluffy will definitely catch some rays this year!

Get In The Way

Cats love to keep a very close eye on their humans. Fluffy may follow you around from room to room, or jump onto your desk when you’re using your computer. Kitties are usually extra cute when they are underfoot. We suspect they know exactly when to be super adorable.

Pounce On Something That Isn’t A Toy

As the old saying says, there’s no accounting for taste. Fluffy may very well ignore her toys, and play with a bottlecap or a crumpled up piece of paper.

All of us here at Aloha Animal Hospital, your Las Vegas, NV vet clinic, want to wish you a wonderful new year. We look forward to serving your veterinary care needs in 2019 and beyond.
