Alexis

Veterinary Assistant

Alexis was born and raised right here in Las Vegas, where her grandmother was her earliest and most powerful influence. Alexis’ grandmother always encouraged her to take in strays and nurse them back to health—these experiences left a permanent impression. Alexis has been passionate about helping pets ever since!

Alexis was still a teenager when she first began working as a receptionist in a local animal hospital. After moving to Reno to attend college, she returned home and signed on at the PIMA Medical Institute to study veterinary medicine. Alexis graduated as a Certified Veterinary Assistant, and was thrilled to join the Aloha Animal Hospital family in the fall of 2017 on the recommendation of a friend.

Around the clinic, Alexis especially enjoys helping with surgeries and learning about the different techniques and procedures she can use to return a pet to full health. She’s also fond of the fast-paced challenges of emergency medicine. Most of all, Alexis loves to meet pet owners and their companions on a daily basis!

Aside from her interests in animal care, Alexis is an avid photographer and particularly likes taking pictures of children and animals together. She lives with her older sister and their three cats—Oscar, Missy, and Pickles—as well as a rescued dog, Belle.

Angela

Veterinary Assistant

Angela always wanted to be able to help those that can’t speak for themselves. Coupled with the fascination she felt when watching Animal Planet programming at home, she realized that a career in veterinary care made perfect sense! Angela hasn’t looked back since—she’s proud to now serve as a part of Aloha Animal Hospital’s Veterinary Assistant team.

Ann

Client Care Specialist

Ann grew up in rural New England, where she spent plenty of time exploring the forests, fields, and ponds of the area. These experiences, combined with her adoration of the family pets, made one thing clear: Ann wanted to do everything she could to help the earth’s creatures! For her, a career in veterinary medicine simply makes sense.

After earning her college degree in science, Ann went to work as a Veterinary Technician for a friend who had opened her very own animal hospital in Connecticut. Ann cared for pets there for several years before moving to Europe, where she continued to gain experience in the veterinary world. Next, she returned to the United States and settled in the Las Vegas area, joining the clinic family in the fall of 2016 on the recommendation of a friend, Aloha Animal Hospital’s very own Julie.

Ann lives with two rescued dogs at home: a poodle named Roxy, who loves exploring during her long walks; and Little Una May, a Maltipoo, who loves to cuddle up next to Ann while she’s reading. When she isn’t enjoying her own companions’ company or tending to the area’s pets here at the hospital, Ann likes writing—she was even asked to read her own published short story on NPR!—and organizing donation drives for local animal shelters in order to give back to the community’s needy pets.
